Jonathan
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Hi, my name is Jonathan, but my friends call me Jon. I have 12 years of experience as a veterinary technician, specializing primarily in surgery and shelter work. My love of animals has been lifelong starting with my first pet, a dog my family adopted when I was in elementary school. I honestly don’t remember a time without animals in my life. As the owner of two special needs dogs, my current dogs are both blind, I know how challenging vet visits can be for special needs animals. This has really been one of the most fulfilling parts of my career to date, I strive to make each visit for every animal a positive experience. When I am not working I enjoy reading, traveling, and hiking as many trails as possible with my wife, Julianna.
An-Khanh Ives
Medical Director
What started as an 8-year-old cleaning kennels at her local vet clinic in rural Illinois to graduating Summa Cum Laude from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. An-Khanh Ives strives to do “more good work” through medicine. While certainly not a straight course, Dr. Ives found her true calling in veterinary medicine. She pursues all manner of specialties including soft tissue and dental surgery, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, preventive medicine, client education, and everything else ending in “ology”. Her practice philosophy is “medicine as a team- compassionate care, connection, and commitment for all”. To that end, she is Fear- Free Certified and studied in medical Spanish. Outside of the office, Dr. Ives enjoys quality time with her family of 3 young children, her husband, and their pets. She is an avid reader of everything and writer of fiction. She loves to cook, create space for joy, and sing in the car.
Lily
Care Coordinator
Growing up surrounded by animals, it was not surprising when Lily chose to pursue a career in the care of animals. Born and raised in California, she eventually went on to gain a Bachelor’s in Animal Science from California Polytechnic State University SLO. “Being raised around many different types of farm animals and pets allowed me to truly understand what I was interested in doing with my life.” After college she gravitated towards the Vet Industry in order to continue learning and growing. Lily aims to provide a safe and pleasant experience to your pet. In her spare time Lily enjoys hiking, reading, crocheting, and spending time with her dog, Boji.
